Owner: Shirnet Fray-Palmer

Children: 4
Our mission is to provide compassionate quality care for all through faith, hope, and love.
We believe a child’s early experiences enrich and stimulate future growth. Children deserve to be treated and respected as individuals in an environment that welcomes reason, exploration, question, and imagination. We respect each child’s need for love, security, acceptance, warmth, and stimulation.
Goals
While in our care your child will have the opportunity to participate in a wide variety of activities, which promote all aspects of development. Family childcare provides for children the comfort and experience of belonging to an extended family. We provide a home like setting; therefore we do not follow a strict routine. Our approach to childcare is child centered and focused directed. Children are offered choices whenever possible. Your child will bring home a newsletter each month, which will give a brief overview of upcoming activities. Just because you are not seeing anything in the way of papers does not mean that we have not been busy all day.
Education: Montclair State, Passaic County College
Experience: Cashier at Kings Supermarket and Instructional leader at Katz Kiddie Korner Academy, Spectrum for Living as a Supervisor/Activity Therapist
Certification: CPR/First Aid

My name is Shirnet Fray-Palmer. I reside in Passaic County, Paterson, NJ to be exact. The reason I chose this profession is because as a mother of 4 myself I knew what I was missing in childcare for my own children and vowed that I could and would do better. After my 4th child I was moved with the assistance of my sister to start our own childcare and with the help of our CCR&R (North Jersey 4C's) here we stand today. I have been in childcare since 2004 and became a registered (Homebased) Family Childcare Provider in 2006. As a dedicated Family Childcare Provider, we pride ourselves on caring for our children through Faith, Patience, and Love. Family Childcare provides for an intimate, patient and loving environment while allowing children to learn at their own pace.
We run 24 hours per day/7 days per week and we also provide transportation to and from school within a regional margin, to ensure safe and timely transport. We are rated through Grow NJ Kids and a member of both CITE (Coalition of Infant/Toddlers Education) and NJFCCPA (New Jersey Family Child Care Providers Association). We were also featured by NEACY in their April/May 2018 issue for providing quality care. We accept subsidized children.
